Learning Activities

One of the activities of the Bonnell Building Project is to configure and set up space in the building for use by community members to engage in learning activities related to one or more of the areas listed in our purpose (social entrepreneurship, science and technology, business, the arts), then coordinate space usage and provide supporting services such as activity promotion and mentorship/internship coordination.

This activity includes:
  • Determining in which learning activities community members are most interested in pursuing
  • Determining the most efficient utilization of available space for these activities
  • Making structural changes to the building as necessary
  • Providing infrastructure, e.g., Internet access, computers
  • Helping secure resources, such as furniture and equipment, required by each learning activity
  • Identifying and recruiting volunteers within the community to share knowledge, expertise and experience related to a particular learning activity
  • Matching community members with hands-on learning opportunities such as internships and mentorships
  • Coordinating the scheduling of space usage, events, meetings, planning sessions, etc.
